The founder of Smart Consulting Group Ltd. Prof. Vladimir Zinoviev, PhD, was Chairman of the Organizing Committee and Moderator of the international scientific forum “The role of the energy cooperatives in the process of decarbonization”. Co-organizers of the event were Polytechnic University of Marche, Italy, University of Kyoto, Energy Institute at the Colorado State University and the Sunotec Group Research Center. The event was officially opened by Eng. Georgi Samandov, Deputy Minister of Energy of Republic of Bulgaria.

The founder of Smart Consulting Group Ltd. Prof. Vladimir Zinoviev, PhD, was officially awarded with certificate for appreciation for his contribution for strengthening the economic and scientific cooperation between Austria and Bulgaria for the last 20 years. The ceremony took place at the residence of the Austrian Ambassador in Sofia and the Certificate was given by the Commercial Counsellor of Austria in Bulgaria Mr. Philippe Kupfer.

During a business trip to Jakarta, Indonesia, the manager of Smart Consulting Group Lts. Mr. Vladimir Zinoviev met with Ms. Mary Elka Pangestu, Minister of Trade, and Mr. Immanuel Inkiriwang, ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to Bulgaria and Albania. They discussed the possibilities to assist Indonesia in its efforts to encourage exports to South East Europe and the European Union. According to the Indonesian administration their key competitor for expansion in the SEE region and the EU is China.

International Platforms for Public-Private Partnerships was the topic of a round table held on October 7th, 2009, at 9:30 in the Alexander Hall of the Radisson Hotel in Sofia. The event was co-hosted by Smart Consulting Group Ltd. and the Austrian Chamber of Commerce, with their key partners UniCredit Bulbank and the Union of Investors in Tourism.The main topics of discussion included opportunities for building platforms for public-private partnerships, legislative initiatives, as well as the public-private partnership development vision of the executive power.

The first SPA Congress was held on April 29th 2009 in Sofia. It was organized by team4tourism, Kohl and Partners Sofia; LVHT institute for applied building and bath hygiene; the technical testing and research institute; Myrtha Pools and Smart Consulting Group Ltd.
